I have lots of new stuff planned for 2012!

First there is a Nuts & Bolts: Intuitive Tarot for Beginners workshop on the 14th of Jan. It's a great workshop for beginners offering step by step hands on learning. By the time this workshop is over you will be ready to practice on your own.

After this class there will be a once a week practice session for those who want to get together and practice there skills on others who will provide feedback. I will be there for questions, answers and tips along the way. A great way to grow your tarot reading skills! Only $5

Once a month I will aslo be offering a specialty workshop! Each of these will be different, hands on, and full of insight for you to take home. Most of these require no experience in reading tarot but a willingness to join in is needed. The first one is on Feb. 11th for those of you who are looking for love and want to find out what the person you are ready for might have to offer. This workshop is a great time for all and gives you a good idea of what you might be looking for in love. More to come, every month!

I am also planning a demo night! You can come get messages and see what tarot is all about! It's only $5 and if you want a reading after you can apply the $5 towards the price of the reading! More details will be offered on this soon.

There is more to come but it's a surprise and things have to be unfolded a bit more before I can announce them! Have a great 2012 everyone!

Weekly Tarot Explorations is back!

Tuesday night explorations started up again a couple of weeks ago.

The first week we did an exersize out of a Mary K. Greer book; WHO ARE YOU IN THE TAROT. I really do love Mary K. Greers style. She is very thoroughl and at the same time very much outside the box learning. We did a section in the book that touched on how to figrue out what your name cards are and what they energy they carry in your life. It turned out to be a great exploration and I may decide to do a series on the Mary K. Greer book soon.

The second week we did an exploration that looked beyond the edge of the card into what our imaginations saw there and what that veiw point can add to a reading. It turned out to be a very informative reading experience but I think the next time I do it I will find a way for it to be more interactive. It's more fun interacting with the group as the explorations have always been in the past. Either way we did learn that what's beyond the border can influence your reading if you care to go there.

The third week we did a fantastic informative reading as our exploration and each of us walked away enlightened and empowered. We had a new comer this week. He is fresh out of the gate and I have to comend him on his open mind and willingness to explore his intuition and learn to give it voice with us and with tarot. Great job Frank!

More to come! This coming Tuesday is skipped but we will be back on the 25th with a new way to explore with the tarot... no experience needed.

TAROT REFLECTIONS FOR SELF-EMPOWERMENT

Check the calender to find out more: http://www.tarotexplorations.com/apps/calendar/

The Gift

Last night I watched the movie THE GIFT. I have to say that I am glad that I bought the movie because I feel that it is a great reinforcement of what I am discovering to be true in my life. I don't want to say to much about the movie as maybe you would like to watch it for yourself. What I will say is it is a good movie for anyone to watch who is on a path that is lead by thier heart or is considering a path that is lead by their heart. There were some parts in the movie that I think could have been expanded upon or changed but the message is strong and like I said, I am glad that I bought it because I will watch it over and over again. I might even use it to design a reading soon! Good idea!

Reading coming soon :)

Nuts & Bolts: Intuitive Tarot for Beginners I & II

This was a great workshop with some great ladies. We did it Saturday at my house and everyone was open to diving into thier intuition and made an honest effort to bring it up into a message for the person they were reading for. This can be difficult as we are trained to think things through, to be logical and after all, how can we tell someone something about thier life when we don't know them at all? We have to retrain ourselves not to think but to just speak what ever comes up until we get to the message. It's a beautiful to see people learning to trust in this process, with an open heart. For some it is more difficult than others but still they try, they want to open to thier natural being, to feel that level of comfort that being in tune with your intuition brings. Tarot is a great tool for this and I am so glad to be able to share it with others. Thanks for being here ladies and I hope that this workshop has helped you on your journey!

Tarot Explorations: Fishing for answers!

It was fun! Of course I could do stuff like this all night if you let me go on and on. Still, we came with our list of questions or made them up as we went and then we draw a card from the center (like go fish) to answer our questions one at a time. We pass the card around the group and each person gives there insights as to how the card answers the question. Try to stay away from yes/no questions in this one. The tarot has so much more insight to offer you by nature than a simple yes or no answer. It was a lot of fun and at some point I'm sure I will have to repeat this one.

Tarot Explorations: Ace in the hole!

Last nights class left room for a lot of discussion about the depths that tarot can take a person within themselves. How it helps to bring nagging issues to the surface for viewing as you continue to work with it. It gave us a chance to touch on what it means when a card comes up over and over again for a person. It was a fun exploration that gave us room to adventure in several directions. Of course I can't leave out the brei and crackers that Rose brought for all to enjoy... What a treat! Thanks to all that came!

Tarot Explorations: only $5, Tuesday evenings

Tarot Explorations: Pot luck tarot!

Who knew that food combined with tarot could teach us so much about our lives. OK, so many people do realize how their relationship with food reflects different things in our lives, tonight we looked through the tarot telescope and caught some insight on how our relationships with food reflect other areas of our lives. I found it to be useful information and learned where I have room to improve in both my eating habits as well as my life choices. We each brought a finger food to pass around. Then we came up with a key word that reflected what that food meant to us through discussion. We drew two cards, one for how it helps us and another for how it hinders us. It was a bit of an experiment and I expected to go deeper with several other cards to answer another aspect of this but as it turned out we got a lot of information from only two cards! It will be fun to do it again and answer some other aspects of the food relationships that we have. Another eye opening adventure with the tarot and some great tarot adventurers as companions along the way!

On a side note it was really great to see new and old faces as well as see how far some people have come in opening up to their insights as they learn to read the tarot cards. I have been having these classes for some time now and I have had a chance to see students growing to open up to thier intuitions with confidence more and more was the weeks go by. It's as if a light switch goes on inside of them and they can see more clearly in that light.I'm grateful to have shared their visions of learning and growing with them.

Increasingly I have to say that our motto has become: EVERYONE HAS A GIFT, HERE WE CHOOSE TO DEVELOP IT. So many have asked me over the years if I have a gift and I tell them that we all have it. I have grown to know that we all have the gift within us, what ever you choose to call it. It lives within us weather we choose to acknowledge it or not. Here we acknowledge it, here we develop it, here we give it voice and in so doing we become more complete unto ourselves. This is the greatest experience that I have been blessed with on my journey with the tarot. When I see that light go on in the eyes of my students, I am filled because I know they too are filled.

Thank you to all of my students who have chosen to share their inner tarot journey with me. It has been wonderful. Let the adventure continue!

Tarot Explorations: Transparent Tarot

Can I just say the Transparent Tarot deck is so much fun!!! I also have to add that it offers profound insights along with all that fun. We each used 9 cards for a 3 card spread: the gift, the challenge and the goal, as suggested in the book. I loved that 3 card combination by the way. A nice change of pace from the standard past, present and future spread.

We read our cards in stacks of three for each position and then we spread them into the film strip row (also suggested in the book) and then we clumped them up all into one. The results were mind opening for all of us. We saw clearly the progression of events and how they shaped in the film strip row after first discovering the current set of results with the 3 piles. The final putting them all together had an amazing effect of pointing out strong areas of focus that are needed. It was a great time with open minded people to share with!

Myself as well as the group were all very happy with the readings and the experience that the Transparent Tarot prompted last night!

Thanks goes out to Emily Carding for inventing the deck and for those who attended Tarot Explorations and shared in the reading of the deck!

Basic components of a good lay out

Last nights class gave an a close look at how you can design a layout to reach into many layers of a question and how deeper questions may arise in the process of reading the cards. It was an eye opener into the depths of how one can use the tarot to reach deep levels of understanding within. It was a great class!

One of the students put it best:

Gloria doesn't take 'shallow' for an answer! She led us gently down to meaningful and in-depth questions to create a customized layout. Sometimes it takes more thinking to create good questions to find answers that fit! This is another example of how The Tarot can reflect the conscious and unconscious events in our lives! - Maryanna M.
